Safety At Home was founded by John Carver.
John is involved in a number of web projects including car, caravanning, camping and also video related web sites. In his REAL work life he is an Accident Investigator, making this blog a natual theme for him.
It is a fact that most accidents that happen are those in the home environment. John hopes the information on the blog will help to reduce those accidents. If you wish to comment on any of the articles, please do feel free to write your comments to us.
Being a personal blog, there is no drive to generate any profit here whatsoever and the focus is simply on creating the highest quality information possible that is widely read.
If you want to post an article of your own in the main blog, place your post in the comments box below and I will take a look at it.
Stay safe.
Amy,
I have posted your article in the main blog.

Hi John,
You are promoting plug-in socket covers for sale:
http://safetyathome.wordpress.com/tag/socket/
British 13 amp sockets have included automatic safety shutters ever since the socket design was introduced in 1947, the idea that socket covers are necessary is complete rubbish.
This would not matter if it were simply a case that socket covers are unnecessary, but in fact ALL plug in socket covers introduce dangers which would not be present if covers were not used.
For further information please see : http://www.fatallyflawed.org.uk
If you are seriously interested in child safety may I suggest that you reconsider promoting such a dangerous device for sale?
Yours,
David Peacock, IEng FIET
